Is METRO-COUNTY Enforcement Services a law enforcement agency?
NO, METRO-COUNTY is NOT a law enforcement agency. METRO-COUNTY is a PRIVATE multi-enforcement services agency. We provide Security Enforcement Services and Bail Bond Enforcement also known as Fugitive Recovery.
Our Security services are licensed and governed by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (PLA) - Private Investigator & Security Guard Licensing Board. You can verify this license online through the PLA. Just look for METRO-COUNTY ENFORCEMENT SERVICES, our License number is SG21800011.
Our Fugitive Recovery Agents are licensed by the Indiana Dept of Insurance (DOI) and do have the power to arrest individuals who have missed court while free on a bail bond.
What's with the blue & white patrol cars?
Our highly visible distinctive blue & white patrol cars are professionally marked and they are an excellent deterrent against criminals or others wishing to do harm or ill will against you or your properties. Our vehicles also serve another purpose: They are easily identifiable to law enforcement and other emergency personnel upon arriving to an incident in the area. Indiana law states that all private vehicles must be painted in a different color scheme than any Indiana Law Enforcement Agency. Ours cars are distinctive and do not match any other Law Enforcement Agency's design or color scheme. BUT WE DO STAND OUT!
Why do your cars have light bars and prisoner cages?
Our light bars are there for safety and visibility. We are only authorized to use them on a public roadway when we are escorting a funeral, or in certain instances when alerting traffic to an emergency or other safety hazard such as at the scene of an accident. We are not authorized to activate them in response to any calls for service.
Our cages are there for our protection and they serve two purposes: They are there for transporting prisoners we have arrested on a bail bond related warrant, and they serve as a secure place for persons lawfully detained while we wait for police to arrive on scene. This provides detained individuals with some privacy rather than making a public show of the person in custody.
What is METRO COUNTY FUGITIVE RECOVERY?
METRO COUNTY FUGITIVE RECOVERY consist of Fugitive Recovery Agents which are independent contractors. They are licensed in the appropriate states where they may serve a warrant. Our services are generally provided to Bail Bond Companies in Indiana and Michigan, although we are authorized to cover many other states.
