What's with the blue & white patrol cars?
Our highly visible distinctive blue & white patrol cars are professionally marked and they are an excellent deterrent against criminals or others wishing to do harm or ill will against you or your properties. Our vehicles also serve another purpose: They are easily identifiable to law enforcement and other emergency personnel upon arriving to an incident in the area. Indiana law states that all private vehicles must be painted in a different color scheme than any Indiana Law Enforcement Agency. Ours cars are distinctive and do not match any other Law Enforcement Agency's design or color scheme. BUT WE DO STAND OUT!
Why do your cars have light bars and prisoner cages?
Our light bars are there for safety and visibility. We are only authorized to use them on a public roadway when we are escorting a funeral, or in certain instances when alerting traffic to an emergency or other safety hazard such as at the scene of an accident. We are not authorized to activate them in response to any calls for service.
Our cages are there for our protection and they serve as a secure place for persons lawfully detained while we wait for police to arrive on scene. This provides detained individuals with some privacy rather than making a public show of the person in custody.
